PART 2 TO MY 2-PART NEWSLETTER

4/22/2021

Part 2 to my 2-part newsletter that was sent out yesterday (4/21/22). This 2nd part (latest testimonial & a local small business owner shout out).

Greetings! (Hopefully you read the first post in my newsletter about what's new & a free job lead then you can read my latest testimonial and a local small business owner shout out below!):

LATEST TESTIMONIAL
I wanted to share my most recent written recommendation on my LinkedIn profile from a client below:

Picture
Leah Trice, an exceptionally detailed, organized HR professional with an MS I-O Psychology

As a Human Resources professional with a Master of Science in Industrial & Organizational Psychology, I realized that I have gone as far as I can go in my current position. I know if I want to advance to a Human Resources Generalist & then become a certified HR manager at a small company, that I would need to update my resume, cover letter, & LinkedIn profile. However, I had little time to do it on my own. I decided to hire a professional to guide me through the process. I reached out on LinkedIn Profinder because I wanted this assistance. While the other professionals seemed capable, none of them responded with what I had originally asked, but Carly did. To me, that meant she can follow directions, & was confident in her ability, and had listened to my request. I appreciated that, so it was an easy choice for me to hire her.

What I enjoyed most about working with Carly is that she communicated with me through every step of the process. She let me know upfront her expectations of me, and what I could expect from her. She kept to her contractual promises and if there was a hiccup in our schedule, she communicated that with me too. Carly was respectful of my time. A couple of times our schedules were scattered so Carly offered to push out parts of the project. This allowed Carly and I to put our focus where we needed to and, in the end, we created the best possible products for my needs.

I would reach out to Carly again in the future because she knows me now. I feel that it is important to work with someone who has insight into who you are as a person because each time you collaborate, the work gets better & better.

I would definitely recommend Carly to family, friends, and colleagues because she cares about the projects she commits to doing and is good at what she does. She puts 100% of herself into creating the best products for her clients and works to make sure they are completely satisfied with the outcome. I did not know what to expect when I reached out on LinkedIn Profinder when looking for a professional. Honestly, I thought I would send my resume draft over and they would make it sound fantastic with fancy words and formatting.

Working with Carly made me realize how much is truly involved in the process. She needed my input just as much, if not more than I needed her help to complete the project. It was a 2-way street, which as many may know is how most successful & satisfying relationships are. What Carly created, in the end, was a compelling cover letter that will make the hiring manager want to read my resume, an exceptional resume of me and my work history, a thoughtful bio that goes past just summing up my work history, and a professional updated & complete LinkedIn profile.

If this is something you’ve considered doing or know you need help with, don’t hesitate to contact Carly for her free, no obligation phone call.

A LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS OWNER I WANT TO GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO

Picture

Ben Spears, owner & operator of A & B Lawn Maintenance I met this past Friday. I had called him at 4 pm to schedule a time for him to come out & provide a price quote on mowing my front and back yard. Since he lived so close to me, he was able to come by at 5 pm that same day (no, he doesn't live an hour away from me, but he had to travel to me from where he was at the time). I was impressed that he offered to start the project right then when I was saying we'd have to arrange a time for him to come (after we discussed the price estimate). Ben's reasonably priced and even offers ongoing packages for a cheaper price. Not only did he do what he was hired to do, but he even got rid of the "jungle-like" look (tall weeds) that was on the side of my house (which wasn't part of what we discussed). He's also licensed, bonded, and insured. I met him by calling his business card that I had found from a community board months ago. He's close to Gem Heights Drive in Puyallup, WA. His phone number is: 253-861-4635.

**FYI**-No need to worry about copyright issues. I pay Adobe monthly for access to their photo library. Thank you!

Thank you!

FREE JOB LEAD
Last week, I met the owner of a farm in Graham, WA at the Safeway in Graham. We were both hanging our flyers up. He's planting a small orchard/farm in Graham, WA. He owns several companies including a farm, a landscape company, a tree service company, and they also organize events focused on plant, nature education, and awareness.

He's looking for apprentices and laborers to join his team. Laborers are short term workers that do not want an education or long-term work opportunity.

Apprentices will have the opportunity to join their growing community and businesses. It is a longer-term educational and career opportunity with room for growth in pay, skills, and responsibilities.

This owner said that one of his landscape guys is currently making $500 a day. (I'm by no means promising that you &/or whoever you refer will make the same amount). Everything I typed in this section (aside from the $500 a day part and my opinion in the paragraph below) I took from a copy of a flyer I asked to have since I told him I help people find work.

The ideal candidate for either position described above (This is me saying my opinion, remember you don't have to meet all of the "ideal list" for a job description so don't let that deter you &/or who you refer):

Live in Graham, WA
Comfortable working in all weather
Physically fit, able to lift 50 pounds comfortably
Ideal age 17-27
Positive attitude
Willingness to learn and the ability to follow directions
NO DRUG USE PERIOD
Pay depending on performance ($15 an hour minimum)

If interested, please email: 7thgentreeservice@gmail.com for an application and interview. He also requests you include your name, age, city, and why this position interests you.

Stay tuned to read my part 2 post to this post which is the remaining half of my newsletter. Again, appropriate public conversation comments are always greatly appreciated & sharing with others. Thank you!
