Carly Calabrese saw the Yoda from Star Wars quote of "Do or Do Not. There is no try," at a Hallmark Store and it resonated with her because that's how she lives her life. She believes in the no excuse approach to living the type of life you want TODAY. A creative and passionate individual, Carly Calabrese has been the owner of Work Solutions for 10 years. She has over 13 years’ experience successfully working in a freelance capacity, over 13 years' experience successfully helping individuals find work and has over 13 years direct writing experience (defined as positions which required heavy writing). Carly has a very diverse career background, including working for State Government, City of Tacoma’s Human Resource Department assisting Human Resource Analysts with recruitment and selection duties such as: reviewing resumes for qualified candidates, assisting with proctoring test exams for qualified candidates, working on government contracts between the City of Tacoma and other business partners, and as a naval contractor for the Regional Safety Department on Keyport Base & Sub Base Bangor Base. She has held various other private sector positions as well as other small business ventures.
Carly has been awarded numerous scholarships, the Milgard Tribute Scholarship her first year at the UW Tacoma Business school where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management from the University of Washington Tacoma as well as the Herbert Goodman Scholarship two consecutive years in a row (highest GPA scholarship from Olympic College Foundation Office) as well as a $1,000 scholarship from Olympic College the summer of 2008. Carly was also a Dean's List and Honor Graduate for BOTH her Associate degrees from Olympic College in Bremerton, WA: an Associate of Arts & Science and an Associate of Technical Arts in Computer Information Systems Web Development.
