I hope everyone had a good 4th of July. I was able to get things done while still enjoying Korean BBQ chicken (my first time trying Korean food), which was really good and watch some fireworks.
Why should you hire me and/or refer someone else to me?
One of the quotes I really like is, "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care," --John C. Maxwell
It's true, yes it matters to a point, how much experience you have doing in your area of expertise, when someone considers hiring you and/or referring you to someone they know who can use your services, but it's also about them liking, knowing, and trusting you. I learned that long ago at networking groups that I attended even before I started my business 7.5 years ago.
It's not about having the cheapest price either. I once hired a professional and they were a really great price, the price was so great that it was the cheapest I had ever paid for that service that wasn't the determining reason(s) why I went with them, though. I learned after working with them, that the time and stress while working with them gave me this conclusion: I could either deal with the 'pain' of paying the high going rates of this service and not deal with all the time and stress that I did with this individual or I could deal with the 'pain' of paying a super cheap rate, but deal with a lot of my time and stress when this service on average takes 2 hours with the professional.
I recently attended a networking group online, shortly after corona virus hit and had met the organizer for the first time. He asked me how I was different than someone else who offered my services, when he had mentioned how he had known someone who could use career help. I first told him that, "In life, you get what you pay for," (not trying to speak ill of Work Source, a free government agency that helps individuals find employment), then I shared with him how a past client of mine who was in her 40's hugged me after she met with me (yes, well before corona virus times with the social distancing in the beginning years of my business) because she had gone to Work Source for help and she told me how they told her if she didn't have the experience for a job listing, don't bother applying and weren't very helpful for her and she had even cried. That same client had gotten a job a week after she had used the resume I wrote for her. That was enough to convince that networking organizer to give me a referral.
Below is another example of a client of mine sharing in the 2 minute & 55 second video with specific examples of why you should hire me and/or refer me for your business writing needs. Be sure to click on the white sideways looking arrow in the middle of the video below after you make sure your volume on your device is loud enough for you to hear.
Thank you!
