As a Human Resources professional with a Master of Science in Industrial & Organizational Psychology, I realized that I have gone as far as I can go in my current position. I know if I want to advance to a Human Resources Generalist & then become a certified HR manager at a small company, that I would need to update my resume, cover letter, & LinkedIn profile. A LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS OWNER I WANT TO GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO
Ben Spears, owner & operator of A & B Lawn Maintenance I met this past Friday. I had called him at 4 pm to schedule a time for him to come out & provide a price quote on mowing my front and back yard. Since he lived so close to me, he was able to come by at 5 pm that same day (no, he doesn't live an hour away from me, but he had to travel to me from where he was at the time). I was impressed that he offered to start the project right then when I was saying we'd have to arrange a time for him to come (after we discussed the price estimate).
