National Pizza Month
According to Valpak.com/pizza, National Pizza Month made its official American debut in October 1984. This celebratory month was created by Gerald "Gerry" Durnell, the owner of a pizzeria in the town of Santa Claus, Indiana, as well as the publisher of "Pizza Today", a trade publication covering all things pizza. National Pizza Day is NOT in October, though it's on February 9th. So, National Pizza Month AND National Pizza Day is when pizzerias around the country have amazing specials for their customers.
